Château Rouget is located in Pomerol and was acquired by the Labruyère family in 1992. The estate produces both its first wine, Château Rouget, and its second wine, Le Carillon de Rouget.

Located on the Pomerol plateau, the estate covers 17 hectares of gently sloping hillside, primarily planted with 85% Merlot, with the remaining hectares dedicated to Cabernet Franc. These grape varieties are the foundation of Rouget's grand vin and its second wine, Le Carillon de Rouget.

Château Rouget is recognized as one of the earliest official Pomerol crus. Its origins trace back to the 1700s, documented in the archives and land register, coinciding with the construction of the estate's grand château by the Bayonne family. By the end of the 19th century, Château Rouget was ranked among the top five Pomerol estates in the appellation's wine classification.

Since 1992, the Labruyère family has overseen the estate, working in collaboration with the esteemed winemaker Michel Rolland.
