Niew Vineyards

Niew Vineyards is located in the northern part of Willamette Valley on the historic Smith Acres. Tai-Ran Niew is dedicated to crafting the most ethereal Oregon wines, rooted in the principles of Masanobu Fukuoka’s agricultural philosophy, which emphasizes observation, patience, and harmony with nature.
The vines grow in Jory soil, a very deep, well-drained soil formed from colluvium derived from a basaltic igneous rock. They are cultivated with minimal intervention, allowing the subsoil to largely dictate the process.
Here, the focus is not only on producing wine but also on fostering an environment where the wines can naturally thrive. With a calm, intentional approach, Tai-Ran creates wines that reflect the purity of their origin—shaped by time, nature, and attentive care. This uncompromising commitment to quality and terroir results in wines that are as rare as they are exceptional.
The wine elegantly balances freshness and depth. Aromas of citrus, white flowers, and subtle minerality combine with a silky, structured palate and a lingering finish.
