A large patchwork of vineyards on the upper mid-slope just above the Echézeaux Grand Cru site, Les Beaux Monts even claims a corner of the Grand Cru for itself. It's a Premier Cru vineyard of the Vosne-Romanée appellation in the Côte de Nuits subregion of Burgundy's Côte d'Or heartland. This vineyard, like most of its neighbors on this part of the Côte d'Or, is planted entirely to Pinot Noir, making a full-bodied yet elegant wine with ripe fruit characters.
