Le C des Carmes Haut-Brion is the second label of Château Les Carmes Haut-Brion, formerly known as Le Clos des Carmes.
 
Le C des Carmes Haut-Brion clearly reflects the same meticulous craftsmanship as the Grand Vin, and is a characterful and modern expression of Pessac-Léognan, where finesse meets depth. 

Vintage 2021 offers a cooler style, emphasizing freshness, and elegance.
In the glass, it reveals complex aromas of blackcurrant, blueberry, violet, pencil shavings, and subtle smoky undertones from fine oak aging.
On the palate, it is poised and structured with silky tannins, vibrant acidity, and a mineral backbone that showcases the greatness of its terroir.
The finish is long, precise, and refined – with a delicate interplay of fruit, spice, and graphite.
 
James Suckling tasting notes 94/100: "Fresh and racy, with beautiful cherries, dried orange peels, peppercorn, and spices. It’s so vibrant and agile on the palate, with medium body and crunchy, lively tannins. Juicy and tense. Firm but very fine and silky in the end. 62% Cabernet Sauvignon, 36% Merlot, and 2% Petit Verdot. Already attractive, but better after a year or two".
