Santenay 1er Cru La Comme from Château de la Maltroye which also makes a red La Comme.
La Comme 1er Cru wines are some of Santenay's best, perhaps second only to Les Gravières and Clos de Tavannes on the hill below.
Jean-Pierre Cournut unequivocally called 2022 "a great vintage". It is more precise than 2020 and more readable as well in terms of the underlying terroir.
Burghound.com/Allen Meadows tasting notes + "Top Value" (June 2024): "Cool and airy aromas of Granny Smith apple, wet stone and lemon-lime are complemented by the racy and delicious middleweight flavors that don't possess the same density as those of the Chenevottes but are slightly finer, all wrapped in a balanced, youthfully austere, very dry, and sneaky long finale. This is also quite compact and in need of at least a few years of cellaring. 2030+".
