France / Bordeaux / Medoc / Haut-Medoc / Saint-Julien 4. Cru Rouge

2010 Château Saint-Pierre (4th Growth) has a deep, dark, ruby-red color – is opaque to a purple rim. The dark fruit aromas are lifted with a loganberry nature and are very toasty. Dark fruit on the palate is again loganberry with a little lifted, leafy cassis, There are savory notes and good freshness. Alcohol is balanced and the wine has good grip, but the tannins are drying and close the finish up short.

Le Figaro by Bernard Burtschy tasting notes 16.5/20: "The dress is dark and the nose intense with beautiful spices and blackberry notes. On the palate, the attack is generous and mellow, the mid-palate is elegant with thin tannins, long-lasting finish enhanced by spices and coffee notes".

Blend:
78% Cabernet Sauvignon, 22% Merlot.
