2014 Château Clos de Sarpe Saint-Émilion Grand Cru Classé er kendetegnet ved en purpurfarvet, tæt og uigennemsigtig farve. Den byder på en smuk friskhed fra bær, krydrede aromaer af sorte frugter og noter af lakrids. Tanninerne er silkebløde, kraftfulde og raffinerede, hvilket resulterer i en vinøs og cremet vin. Et imponerende førsteindtryk, løftet af frugtens friskhed; midtpaletten er tæt med en dejlig vedholdenhed. De gunstige vejrforhold gjorde det muligt at høste alt på det optimale modenhedstidspunkt.

The Wine Cellar Insider/Jeff Leve tasting notes 93/100 (2017): "Earthy in character, with plums, licorice, and spice, this is the first vintage where Clos de Sarpe began micro-vinifying 15% of their wine in 600 liter barrels. Concentrated for the vintage, the microvinification has added additional softness to the wine, as well as rounding the tannins. That does not mean you don't have to give this time, as you do, but the plummy fruit has more softness in the texture".
 
Blend:
85 % Merlot, 15 % Cabernet Franc (blandingen er altid den samme).
