Wine Enthusiast 94/100 tasting notes: "This wine seems to be all about structure and tannins. The fruit comes through slowly and has a way to go in its development. But black currants are there, ripe and promising well for the future. Just don't drink before 2025".  

The Wine Cellar Insider/Jeff Leve 92/100 tasting notes: "A well made charmer. The wine opens with a smoke and espresso filled nose that adds black cherry, licorice and cassis as the wine takes in air. Soft, refined, forward and open, a few years will add more to the round textured, polished finish".

Blend: 
66 % Cabernet Sauvignon, 31 % Merlot, 3 % Petit Verdot.

Legenden fortæller, at navnet på dette imponerende slot stammer fra Connétable Talbot, en berømt engelsk kriger, der blev besejret i slaget ved Castillon i 1453. Talbot er en af Medocs ældste ejendomme, og dens ære er aldrig plettet. Gennem årene har det haft held til at forblive i gode hænder. Familien Bignon-Cordier står for driften af dette Saint-Julien 4th Grand Cru Classé slot.
